Nunavut Sannginivut - Our land, our strength. This is a short clip highlighting some of the beauty that I discovered while traveling in Nunavut this spring. At 10:15, you see the former rocket research facilities. Many scientific studies were performed here. One of the places where my father worked as a technician. Do a Google search for "Black Brant Rockets".

At 9:33, in the distance you see reddish rocks on the right of the screen. To the right of that was Fort Churchill Military Base. This is where my sister and I were born and raised until 1974. It was closed in '75 and I believe bulldozed in '77. Great place to be a kid.

Hi, I love a family roadtrip and drove 6 weeks each summer with my own 4 sons when they were growing up. So your video brought back incredible memories :) One thing I don't understand is that I heard there were no roads into Churchill - only planes and trains. Yet you are driving there? Can you help me to understand how this works?
