Nunavut Sannginivut - Our land, our strength. This is a short clip highlighting some of the beauty that I discovered while traveling in Nunavut this spring. Nunavut (/ˈnuːnəˌvʊt/; from Inuktitut: ᓄᓇᕗᑦ [ˈnunavut]) is the newest, largest, northernmost, and least populous territory of Canada. It was separated officially from the Northwest Territories on April 1, 1999, via the Nunavut Act and the N...

I shot this footage on a recent trip to Nepal. I wanted to share it so that people could see the beauty of the area and people. Please help the people of Nepal. International aid organizations wasted no time stepping up to help the hundreds of thousands affected by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal on Saturday. While the Nepalese government has yet to ask other countries for help, that ...

Peace Days Celebrations Sept 11, 2014 Winnipeg
Hi Karen, would you have an email address that I could reach out to?
Thank you for making this video! ❤
Thank you to CBC's About Time for playing this lovely piece today, and introducing me to it's joyous sound (October 3, 2024)
Amazing piece!
Thank you! Cheers!
At 10:15, you see the former rocket research facilities. Many scientific studies were performed here. One of the places where my father worked as a technician. Do a Google search for "Black Brant Rockets".
At 9:33, in the distance you see reddish rocks on the right of the screen. To the right of that was Fort Churchill Military Base. This is where my sister and I were born and raised until 1974. It was closed in '75 and I believe bulldozed in '77. Great place to be a kid.
Gorgeous as always Ben and Dan!!❤️❤️❤️
U can drive from Winnipeg to Churchill 5 yrs ago? Because now 2023 I’ve been reading that the only to get to Churchill is by train or plane from Winnipeg
0:51 "Is this amateur player the only thing you could get to try my beautiful creation?"
And I have anxiety too
No else wath this
I’m feel bad
We used to climb all over AND under that bridge years ago, I can still vaguely remember when there was traffic on it back in 1974.
Gangs of young women wearing bikinis and high heels tickling each other frightened everyone away.
BRAVI!
Wonderful.
Great , fun
Superb video - what time of year did you go? Thanks from Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Amazing
Always reassuring when on a train to see a ton of derailed train cars littered all around the tracks. Kinda like pulling into an airport with crashed planes all around.
It is a great video and it gave me lots of ideas about how to go. Thanks
The presenter stopped short of calling the first inhabitants wealthy. LOL, a trend that continues to this day, as only one with deep pockets can afford to life on the 'Point'.
LOL, the rich wanting money for nothing, not a new concept.
Nice
I still remember doing a show with you and Tony Quarrington at Irene's in Ottawa, when you filled in for Willie P. A night I'll never forget....Mandolin, lap steel, and maybe violin. A wealth of sidemen, and a happy show.
What a great snapshot...
really wonder writing, Sid!
I'm trying to talk my fiance into doing this. I told her it was the polar bear capital of the world and she thinks that I wanna kill her.
Peter Peru!
Very high quality work. Can be used in oven or microwave and dishwasher safe.
Gabe your cute, keep up the dancing, I'm your number 1 fan.
What time of year? What's with all the abandoned railcars? That beach at Churchill-looks nice-is it ever used?
great film guys
What month were you there?
We were there in mid-October
This guy is a pathetic mongoloid.

Hi, I love a family roadtrip and drove 6 weeks each summer with my own 4 sons when they were growing up. So your video brought back incredible memories :) One thing I don't understand is that I heard there were no roads into Churchill - only planes and trains. Yet you are driving there? Can you help me to understand how this works?
Ahhh I see, as the video continues. You trained the last bit. But now the train is down after Gillian? Any news on this since you're more of a "local"?

Nice, got to watch/see a bit of Churchill on video. Great vid!
Was that a wolf at 10:53 or dog that looked like wolf?
DM McHugh what the hell dude
Great video. On my bucket list for sure. Was only a couple of months old when I left with brother and mom in 1959. Dad was stationed in navy up there and finished his tour a few months later. Have seen a lot of old black and white photos but this is great.
at 9:16, wrecked plane that will never be removed.
at 4:44, appears to be a wrecked train that will never be removed.
This was an amazing video. I live in California and can’t stand the heat. This is where I’d love to vacation.
Made the train trip from Winnipeg to Churchill twice back in the '80's. Great memories. Great video you made!
